Gwenn Dubourthomieu became interested in photography while working in Africa for humanitarian NGOs. He pursued this career in 2010 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 2012 he settled down in Paris and works as a freelance photographer. His work includes spreading awareness about the social impact of copper exploitation in the Dominican Republic of the Congo. He actually takes pictures of people in many different areas of the world.
Here are two of his photographs, and a photo of Gwenn himself. The first picture is of people carrying stuff on their heads, and it seems to be in the middle of a field. I like the second picture because the blue, which I think is water, really pops out. The surrounding rock really makes a nice contrast and puts emphasis on the blue in the bottom.
