William Henry Jackson was a photographer that was famous for his images of the American West. He was born on April 4, 1843 in New York. His photography was of nature and just landscapes and the outdoors. His great- great- uncle was Samuel Wilson, who is what inspired Uncle Sam. Below are 3 of his photographs. These three are my favorite because I like the mountainous, coniferous tree type of landscape. I think my favorite is the one with the boat. I like it because you can see the reflection in the water . I also like the one in the middle because the mountains look awesome. I don't know if I like that they are black and white because I like to see the colors of nature. William Henry Jackson died in June 30, 1942 in New York, at the age of 99.
